Ezbuy is my absolute savior when it comes to shipping in items from Taobao. It is basically an agent providing “ezbuy” hassle-free Taobao shopping! Problem with Direct Shipping from Taobao
I used to ship direct from Taobao, but quickly realized that the biggest problem with using Taobao’s direct shipping service. Your items are not checked before they packed, so if the sellers make a mistake (quite often), the wrong item will get sent all the way to Singapore. And ain’t nobody got time to return a $3 top all the way to China. The return process is super troublesome too (you have to wade through more Chinese instructions.) So I usually just end up repurchasing the correct item!
New Ezbuy Function
In my recent shopping haul, I realized my items are classified into Buy For Me and Ezbuy and got a little confused. Turns out, Ezbuy is a new function where only a ONE TIME payment is required! All your products’ prices, domestic and international shipping costs are reflected ONCE at the check-out page.
Hence, Taobao shoppers like me will be able to make a better purchasing decision. You can consider whether if you are comfortable with the TOTAL shipping costs before buying!
Previously: (with Buy For Me Function)
- Buy items
- Pay item price + domestic shipping price (shipping within China)
- Wait for item to arrive in China’s warehouse
- Pay international shipping price (shipping from China to Singapore)
So what can happen is the international shipping price might take you by surprise, like when I bought my pink Hello Kitty luggage for S$16 but the shipping was nearly $10 (which still adds up to S$26 – really affordable for a cabin size luggage) 😜
Now: (with Ezbuy Function)
- Buy items
- Pay item price + domestic shipping price + international shipping price at the same time!
Hence, you only need to pay ONCE and you get an overview of the actual cost of the item! In my recent haul, 2/3 pieces of my favorite crop tops only cost me S$1.69 in international shipping! Shopping with Ezbuy now eliminates the worries of unknown and unexpected shipping fees 🙂
